They cover such topics as international trade, economic life, political affairs, agriculture, industry, science, geography, sports, culture, and the arts. Of recent vintage are photos on the Soyuz space program, SALT talks, cultural exchanges, summit meetings, leading personalities, workers, families, students, medicine and public health, weaponry, the armed forces, architecture, and atomic power. Over 800,000 photos are on file.Sovfoto supplies these photographs for use by news agencies, newspapers and magazines, book publishers, television, U.S. government agencies, and a number of other organizations. Although access is unrestricted, a fee is normally charged for use of the collection. The originals may be rented for reproduction.
