The Nicholas Roerich Museum archives contain some material relating to Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947), painter, explorer, and archeologist. Manuscripts of his books, in Russian and English, are apparently no longer in this country. The correspondence of Mrs. Sina Fosdick, executive vice-president of the museum, with Professor Roerich is closed to researchers. The museum has a large collection of Roerich's paintings from various periods.
