Finding Aids

The library has published Dictionary Catalog of the Music Collection, 33 vols. (Boston: G. K. Hall, 1964) and a supplement, 13 vols. (1973). "A selected list of microfilms currently available in The Toscanini Memorial Archives of The New York Public Library, November, 1969" appears in College Music Symposium, 17 no. 2 (1977). Finally, manuscript acquisitions for all divisions since 1971 are listed in the Dictionary Catalog of the Research Libraries, an automated book catalogue.

Notes

A selected listing, taken from published finding aids, follows. Other divisions of the library hold related materials.

The Julliard School in New York at present holds some manuscript material of the composer Arkadii Dubenskii which it intends to give to the New York Public Library in the near future.

Restrictions: Persons requesting copies of manuscripts in the collection will be asked to outline their purposes and agree not to duplicate further or publish without specific permission.
