The Department of Film has extensive holdings on the subject of Russian and Soviet films and filmmaking. The facilities of the Film Study Center are available to graduate students or equivalent scholars. Films may be viewed on flatbed viewing tables or in projection rooms and a service fee is charged. The film-related documents may be consulted without fee. In both cases an appointment is necessary. Photocopying services available. A selected group of Russian and Soviet films are available in 16mm copies for rental to educational institutions for study purposes. A catalogue of circulating films is available on request.
