Scattered holdings in various departments of the Museum pertain to the Russian Empire/Soviet Union. Among holdings pertaining to this guide (excluding much of the art works) are: Armenian manuscripts (No. 16.99 and No. 38.171.2); 53 watercolors of American scenes by Pavel Svinin; a wax mask of Anna Pavlova (35.105); another wax sculpture—Pavlova Gavotte (26.105); a poster by Leon Bakst; and a number of costumes for Ballets Russes productions.
