• Vera Nikiforova

  57 watercolors on paper, drawings of Russian churches, most labeled with name of church and its date of construction (ca. 8 x 10 in., though size varies). Mrs. Nikiforov, wife of a well-known assistant professor of church archaeology at the Theological Faculty of the St. Vladimir Institute (Harbin), drew these pictures to illustrate her husband's lectures (ca. 1910). They are of ancient churches of different periods and various styles from the 12th c. forward. (Archive; DR 122)
