The archive has 37 books, typed and handwritten, of military service records of all officers of the Russian Imperial Army in all military districts 1904–14. It also holds the papers of General Schultz, consisting of 10 notebooks from his service in the army in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–78 and later years.
Miscellaneous collections in the archive include military orders—printed, typed, or hectographed—from 1908, 1911, 1917–18, particularly for the Caucasian front, and promotions; the rodoslovnaia kniga of General Nilov; personal papers of officers on education and military service, 2 ft.; a list of officers killed in 1914, 3 books; the career records of Junker Academy graduates, 6 books; military orders and promotions for 1915–16, 2 books; miscellanea on the Kadet Corps, 3 ft.; various cavalry charters; a typed history of the Semenovsky regiment; maps; and a collection of newspaper clippings of Boris A. Nikolaev, a captain of artillery. Arrangements to use materials must be made in advance with the museum's curator.
