Beginning in 1923, the Baptist General Conference, then known as the Swedish Baptist General Conference, supported a missionary effort to Russians. Begun in Vladivostok, it soon moved to Harbin. In 1934 the work was transferred to Tientsin, and in 1939 to Shanghai. The archive files contain several folders relating to this effort: photos, correspondence, manuscripts, and clippings. In the files of the denominational newspaper are periodic accounts of the "Russian Mission." Some of the material is in Swedish. Open to qualified researchers.
