Currently in process, and held in the History Department by Professor G. L. Penrose, are 14 interviews with survivors of the 339th U.S. Infantry and 310th Engineers who saw action in north Russia during the intervention. Only 7 are complete, averaging 25 pp. of typescript. In final form they include pictures, biographical sketches, and indexes. Also, some personal diaries, copies of The American Sentinel published at Archangel'sk, and a rare copy of Capt. Joel Moore's The History of the American Expedition Fighting the Bolsheviki: Campaigning in North Russia 1918–1919 (Detroit, 1920). When the project is completed, all materials will be transferred to and available in the Hope College Archives.
